Demonstrators and Scholarships Unit

Description

It is a unit affiliated to the Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research. It specializes in meeting the needs of the various college departments in terms of teaching assistants, and it ensures that they are sent to foreign universities with high levels of performances corresponding with distinguished international standards in order to return as distinguished faculties in future and enrich the department with which they are associated and take it to a higher level of future performance.

Objectives

  • To constantly support the faculty’s approach in meeting the departments’ needs for distinguished teaching assistants and scholarships.
  • To ensure that scholars are receiving the highest levels of education abroad.

Mission

  • To implement and follow the College scholarship policy.
  • To supervise the follow-up of the conditions of the College students studying abroad on scholarship in accordance with the regulations and decisions issued regarding postgraduate students.

Responsibilities of the head of the unit

  • To set up and update a database on teaching assistants and scholarships in the College.
  • To prepare a database of renowned universities which can accommodate postgraduate students.
  • To list the needs of the departments for teaching assistants and develop appropriate plans to provide them in coordination with the departments.
  • To follow up the scholarship students’ affairs and ensure the proper progress of their studies.
  • To submit a report on the status of the College post graduate students who failed in their studies after half the time has elapsed.
  • To prepare a detailed annual report on the scholarship students’ status in the College.
